I bloody love my new desktop!

Well, sorta. Decided to make the most of my photography and the dual monitors (to which there is but a gap of an inch between both displays, both touching!).
Yea. God I love winter.

How to get Satan Sam working in OSX

Well there wont be a port unless I remade the game, and Clickteam aren’t mentioning their cloak and dagger OSX exporting options. Alas, there is a way so long as you have one of these spanking new Intel Macs. It’s relatively easy too

1. Download and unzip The New Satan Sam
2. Download and install Crossover
3. Open the Sam.exe, or launcher and play!

It will launch full screen, and if you are using a super fast Intel Mac (which they all are) you will be running a full speed Satan Sam in OSX. Not perfect, Crossover is the bridge for now. The game will have no problems with graphics, sound, controls just like the PC version.
I haven’t tried yet, but don’t use the DirectX options in the Launcher application. DirectX won’t run under OSX so in theory the game might crash sending you back into OSX.

Alternative options include using Parallels or Bootcamp as a bridge.

End of year show

End of year show

This was my end of year show to mark the end of the 2nd year at university. Was a good show, in a way. My whole group (~6 of us) put work up, but just before the show the director woman had it all took down, barring mine and Annas! Everyone was a bit annoyed. Me included as one project (Gemma’s desk/house creation) was utterly fantastic.

This is a few months old now. Just to warn ya!

From the forum!

Inspired by a mate of mine, I bashed out this song today whilst everyone was out. It’s an acoustic only, with some effects on top. and a little Oasis style solo half way through. It somehow fell out of sync towards the end and there are some slight loop issues. Ah well! Loves Logic.

Blue Monday music video

Well… I released that much needed update to Sam yesterday so I don’t want to dwarf that out completely, but I’ve been working on something for a while now. Started around July, I wanted to make another stop motion video. With no actors to hand I set about filming items in my room. In the end it became a Blue Monday music video. Didn’t finish it either, it was going to turn into a big action thing where good guys were going to chase the driving Mighty Max. But alas. Here’s what will be the finished piece. I won’t bother embedding the video since it’s in a highish resolution. 15mb, 3 minutes long, quality is alright and wwwwidescreeeeen.

Satan Sam 3.2 released

Not the colourful version 4, just a smart bug fix. The fix includes -
– Fixes a few background issues
– Updated positions of some items
– New “forced” music code (music could sometimes not be activated – rare)
– No energy ball jumping whilst in the hamsterball, no hamsterball in the final world at all
– Echo World update. It’s harder. You’ll want to kill me.
– Updated credits

Update instructions
If you already have Sam 3.1 or before, just download the 3.2 update,
SuperSam and regular Sam now contain the 3.2 game.

Also uploaded a new trailer! I grew tired of the old one, with beta graphics and all that. So I went to town and made the new trailer, complete with smoother footage (thanks faster computer).
