Oh yes, it’s a blog!
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007I keep forgetting to perform the dull blog duties that come with running a… blog? I try to fob it off as a devblog don’t I? But that’s a filthy lie and I’m firing a face full of diary-esque monotonous foodage at cha.
I’m working my legs and arms off for Tormishire. Constantly being inspired by my local area some more. Just tonight Caroline et I went on a little walk, spotted these mad starry lights in some garden. They’re going in Tormishire as background stuff.
It’s a crying shame Tony Wilson is dead, still. It didn’t really hit me till I was in the Hacienda/Fac51 exhibition at the Urbis. The guy practically built modern Manchester. He’s inspired me so much that I don’t think I’ll be leaving England for greener gaming pastures. There’s so much talent and so much potential for Manchester to hold a good, though small, game studio that it’d be a bit daft to move. I’ll never be another Tony Wilson, but he’s inspired me something rotten. Hey hey hey!
Went to Blackpool Tower with my mum and sister, forgot how charming that place is. Not the outside. That’s full of sulphuric naff. The tower with it’s winding corridors and dead ends, I love it. Somehow.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting a really magical ear for music. I’ve taught myself so many melodies, I just sit down and press any random note and within 1 or 2 attempts I’ll have learnt a new song. Most recent was an old Zelda: Twilight Princess trailer. It’s almost like Heroes only with no actual benefit for anyone! Ah, and the Inspiral Carpets – This is how it feels to be lonely. That was quite easy to learn!
Anyroad! Back to the game. A little surprise for you all not going to the Click Convention – Tormishire will be demoed by a certain someone! (wait, why would anyone not going be bothered? haha. The Relentless is kicking in) It should be playable. I’m working day and night to get it ready for the show (currently half way through a can of Relentless!). It should be in full working order but if not I’m going to be building a new trailer.
‘fink thats it!
