The Hunting Circle

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

I really don’t know what this place is called, but just a little bit up Saddleworth moor theres a kind of old stone hut thing with a bench. You’re supposed to place a nearby rock onto the thing, yea the locals are that mad they want us to build houses so they can sell them on. Can you believe it? Photo’s below, including Caroline!

124[1]

So today me and my pops went to go see Gunther Von Hagen’s Body Works exhibition at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry. I gotta admit I never saw one of his autopsies, I tried but ruddy nora my stomach turned every time! But for some reason I ended up going to this exhibition. It still hasn’t hit me that I basically walked around corpses placed in bizarre poses!

If you don’t know his work he basically preserves bodies using some chemical thingy he made up, it takes about a year to "plasticate" but the bodies are then put on display for the many nutters (the gallery was packed out!) to go take a look. Worst bits usually being genitals sliced to show how thick the fatty layers are, brains atop erected spinal columns, the unseen effects of many internal breakings. Rancid and compelling stuff.

Basically Gunther is mad but I’m probably just as mad for visiting.

Snowy peaks

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Me and the Adam went on a trek up Dovestones after a bit of snow a week ago. Didn’t go far because it was fareeeezing but good times nonetheless! Really inspirational place up there.

Chapter 2

messy

K so it’s taking long enough but I’ve almost finished Chapter 1. As in fully done the bugger! The 3rd boss has just been finished (barring tweaking, balancing and all that jazz) but I’ve still got to tie up some loose ends. It’s a really big fight too, thought I’d go all out since its the end of the first quarter. btw Tormi should have 4 chapters, might squeeze in a secret one too.

Chapter 2′s little intro is finished too so I’ll be able to jump right into it once I’ve sorted the first area out. I really love the jump from 1 to 2, great writing from Tom!

Also whipped up a little pic. Tablets battery died so I had to stop and now I just can’t get back into this. Was supposed to depict the various relationships in Tormi and how they’re all connected.

OST

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Me and the Pineapple have been discussing this for a while about the release of a Tormi OST. Now it’s not a small game by any means and the soundtrack reflects this. We’re going to produce (properly too, not some CD-R) a limited stock of the OST “Chapter 1″ (conveniently it fits exactly a full audio CD of tracks from the games own Chapter 1). Part 2 will be released when we have enough material for such.

The current set, though susceptible to change, features 38 tracks and will be priced when we get an estimate from the CD pressers. Will be super cheap though and will ship abroad. We can only accept Paypal. Probably run off 25-50 discs.

Clickage this to put your name down.

Purchase button will be up in a few weeks, once we get stock from the pressing plant.

The Pyro

Just another one. Got a USB hub this morning and was just testing the tablet with it. Haha. There’s always a reason.

Well it isn’t really, mine’s orange. But I think I’m getting carpel tunnel or whatever that rubbish wrist thing is called. So I had a play about on the tablet, first time I’ve used it in about 3 months. Anyroad! And I should settle on a sig, no?

2 little bits

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008

Firstly I did an interview with Curly’s world of freeware about me old Sam game.

Secondly I found an MP3 I made about 2 years ago. IIRC its the first time I ever used a proper music app to layer tracks (alongside another track I did called MONK but that’s staying hidden!). There’s a few looping problems and it repeats a bit, but for some reason I like it more than any of other guitar tracks. (hmm well it won’t seem to embed so heres a link)
