Progress

Akk! Well sorry for the lack of updates, I’m working flat out on our current projects-

Project Tempest – The background is set up for it all. It’s the least complete of the current projects but my fave. The engine and controls are done, it just needs levels and (more) music.

Project Hadal – We’ve finally settled on a name for this. Right now I’m working on the map, which is about 40% done. Pineapple has done an absolutely outstanding title track, and I really bloody mean it. I’ve also put my all into making a killer title screen. Both the title and game are utilising a little post-processing system I set up and they look nice and gritty. FACT: the world map is 415 metres across.

New New New Sam – Still in the design stages. But the remake will be a little more remakey than first planned. The control system is being totally rejigged and with Xbox 360 controller support. The modes are going too. Infact the only thing likely to remain untouched is the art. Levels are going to be modified and new ones to be added in a new retro ‘world’ based upon the original Sam game. Just for funs.

Still not sure when all these will be out by. Maybe next month, definitely by Christmas. I’ll also definitely breathe tomorrow so that’s not saying much.

And something else! May be doing some teaching at my old college which could be a most bodacious adventure.

See MMF2 isn’t supposed to do stuff like this. I made it do it though.

the best thing i ever messed up in mmf

It’s coming along swimmingly. The engine (minus the stats recording) is finished, now I’m just adding levels.

Hadal 50% done

Just adding levels to it now and it’s gone through a design change from the original. It’s grown into a kind of Metroidvania now. Just started adding the levels and I’ve put in more effort than I planned. Still needs a title, music and the whole online and offline scoreboard system adding in. Details should come flooding out once it’s nearly done.

Hadal (along with Tempest) will be available either individually or in a pack we’re planning.

Back to work!
