Maintenance

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

The site might be a bit fuzzy for the next while. I’ll be doing some organisational work on the folders, it’s pretty messy back there and I only have the worlds worst internet connection.

Am baaayaaak!

Sorry for the downtime again, it’s a very intense week this. The site should be 100% back up and running now and I’m working flat out on Wake to get it finished. Speaking of…

Everything should be running just fine now, everything has been updated especially the art and game pages. Forum registration currently doesn’t work though. The frontpage will also be updated at some point in the coming week, and there’s a bucket load more photo albums that need adding!

A slice of downtime

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Well we’ve had a bit of downtime. I don’t know how back the site is yet but it’s going to be a gradual thing over the next 24 hours or so.

Gonna do a big update sometime soon and sort out the mess that is this place.

top of the world maa

And Wake is being tidied up now! Should be released soon.

My belly is full of 3 kinds of meat and a yorkshire pudding

I’ve not forgotten about yawl. I’m doing mad scrambling dashes to get the game done and dusted. Both me and Pineapple did a spot of testing last night and found a plethora of bugs, but they’re easily fixed. I’m also working on a website for our studio, it’s all very spiffy and modern (putting that degree to good use!). Just another day or so now! (but didn’t I say that last week?)

this is more important than it looks

And this! This could be important depending on whether or not you liked Sam. That above shot was taken from New Sam running in a new MMF2 build with HWA. Visually it’s no different from the original of course (Sam was invisible when I took this pic), but it’s the performance and bug fixing that I can now do. So a proper 2009 update of Sam will be developed shortly.s

Sorry for all this mess

Monday, May 18th, 2009

I can’t even attach the screenshot of my stats page so you’ll have to take my and Pineapple’s word for now. Over the weekend Sam had a snip over 210,000 downloads.

This is why I need to get Tormishire out!

Update: 377,894 downloads in the past 48 hours.

Sitey stuff

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

I really wasn’t happy with that old Tormi site so I’ve stripped it down to the necessary components only, also known as a 5 minute rush job!

Also a little boss comparison, the first look one from 2006 and the new one tweaked in 2009…

and-again

And with that… Back to work!

Some stuff soon

Friday, December 5th, 2008

We (yes, we!) are currently preparing some stuff. It won’t be a Tormishire demo but there’s a whole lot of new info and other non-Tormi things for download and display. Also got 1 mega nugget about a lovely little publisher that I’ll let you feast upon in time.

2010

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Just a little post saying my hosting has been renewed for another 2 years. Which, as of today, makes us 4 years old! Huzzah!

Also I’m still working on Tormi. Just having a couple of holidays is all. I’ll be fully back in action in a few weeks.

My own pixel fixer

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

I made a really little pixel fixing app, I found the Java fix one (forgot the exact name) didn’t work for me so I built my own. It cycles through various bright colours (inc. black and white) at a constantly randomised frame rate between 30-60fps.

Warning – I’m not responsible for burning your eyes out if you want to look at this whilst it’s working. It’ll likely make your brain melt so best look away. Pressing any key will turn off. I’m being serious here! Don’t go watching it!

It worked on my monitor to fix a stuck red pixel. That’s another thing – it may or may not work on stuck pixels. It works by cycling through colours fast enough that it "fixes" a stuck pixel. Massaging the stuck pixel area might also help whilst this is running. It won’t fix dead pixels though, although it might help "hot pixels".

It took 30 minutes to fix mine.
